Salt Lake City, UT – Verango Inc, a web-services and e-commerce company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, announced today a new ground-breaking e-commerce product, TagSoda©. TagSoda© enables shopping carts to be search-engine friendly. It also transforms the way online advertising by allowing merchants to pay per sale rather than per click as well as enabling interactive client-to-merchant price negotiation.

TagSoda© is a portal of products and services organized into tags (i.e. keywords) by consumers, merchants, and Verango itself. According to Verango founder and CEO Joel Otterstrom, “because TagSoda© organizes shopping carts into tags, shopping carts and their products are finally search-engine friendly. Currently, merchants can only attach tags to web-site content, not to products within the shopping cart.”

TagSoda©'s innovative technology removes that obstacle. In addition to merchant created tags, consumers can generate tags for participating merchants, generating increased interactivity between consumer and merchant. Through the product’s unique tagging software, consumers can also see what other shoppers are tagging, find similar items, and see what other consumers purchased, as well as showing the most popular items and merchants online.

TagSoda© removes the need for pay-per-click (PPC) advertising by focusing on the sale rather than the click. TagSoda© is an e-commerce tagging software with an embedded pay-per-sale shopping engine. "This product will rid the world of pay per click," states Otterstrom, "Pay-per-click (PPC) just became too costly for my online business. I saw other online merchants trying to sell their products through PPC with little or no success on crowded search engines. Some clicks I paid for directed my potential clients to competitors, while others where just plain fraud." Hence, TagSoda© doesn't charge participating merchants unless a sale is a result of a TagSoda© user or the product was found through a search using a TagSoda© keyword.

TagSoda© enables merchants to easily negotiate with their consumers, adding an entirely new dimension to e-commerce by merging online auctions with online stores.
